Andy Robinson resigns as England coach
November 29, 2006
On Saturday afternoon, over the deafening sounds of boos raining down at Twickenham, as the Springboks' Andre Pretorius slotted a 77th-minute dropgoal, the BBC play-by-play radio commentator was overheard sighing wistfully, "that could be the final nail in Andy Robinson's coffin."
From the, "What Took So Bloody Long?" Dep't,
BBC Sports is today reporting:
Andy Robinson has quit as coach of world champions England after a disastrous 25-month spell in charge.
No successor has been named.
