Australian Rugby Union Chairman forced out
December 9, 2005
The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) boss, Dilip Kumar, on Thursday bowed to pressure and stepped down as chairman of the ARU board.
This follows the fall-out which followed Australia's decision to back Japan's bid to host the 2011 World Cup - a decision which angered Australia's SANZAR partners, New Zealand and South Africa, who both competed against Japan to host the event.
