Pacific Rugby Cup makes thrilling debut

The inaugural International Rugby Board Pacific Rugby Cup made a thrilling debut at the weekend as supporters in the Islands were treated to three exciting matches.
The opening round of the tournament, involving newly-formed regional teams from each of the three Pacific Island Unions Tier 2 Unions, was played out in front of encouraging crowds at all three venues in the three countries. ...
IRB Pacific Rugby Advisory Chairman Bob Tuckey was extremely encouraged by the action on the first weekend. "The thrilling start to the tournament, the close results and the response of rugby supporters in each of the three countries marks an exciting new era for rugby union in the Pacific."
